When buying a pet you have to know that there is responsibility and time effort that comes with it. Every pet is not the same but they are all spoiled in some way or another. If you already bought a cat or kitten for a present or a companion you have to be careful what you feed it. If your cat is going to be domestic then you have to buy cat food that will have enough protein and essential nutrients that it won’t get from eating your leftover lasagna. Even outdoor cats need nutrition and a healthy diet that will give them energy and promote a long, vigorous life

Every animal owner should give their pets a healthy and nutrition meal instead of going for the cheap stuff that lacks the essential vitamins and protein. If you love your pet, you will buy food that is high in protein and will promote a healthy diet and weight management. If you have a kitten then you need to buy kitten food instead of adult. You should have both wet and dry food that has the crucial ingredients to help them grow. Remember a kitten is from birth till one year of age and this will also say so on any cat food products box or container.

When buying cat or kitten food, always look for the expiration date. Similar to the FDA stand, for cat food look for a label that says Association of American Feed Control (AAFCO). This label means that the food has been tested with manufacturer and is approved for quality and nutrition. Another thing to look for when buying cat food is ‘food by product’. Avoid the purchase of these products even if it is on an amazing sale. If you love your pet you will want to give it the best in order to grow and have many happy and healthy years ahead of it with you
