Kittens! I have loved cats since…well for as long as I can remember I’ve loved any animal, especially cats! When I was six and lived in Europe, I found a beautiful small baby kitten that I begged and cried to my mother for days to keep. It was the smartest cat in the world, so I thought, until the horny guy was crossing the street to see his lady friend and was hit by a car. We buried him in our backyard next to a walnut tree and said our goodbyes.
Today I am blessed with two beautiful, wild and crazy sisters that will soon turn five months! The first day we brought them home, they ran under the rocker leather chair and stayed there till it was bed time. Our first night together was very painful and exhausting since the wild things were jumping up and down on our bed, scratching every inch of us that moved or showed any threat. I would cover myself in a thick blanket, being terrified of their huge shiny nails, sweating till the morning came. In our first three weeks together, we had barely any sleep, going to bed at ten falling asleep around three and getting up at five. We would wake up sore from not being able to move on our own bed, fearing to hit them or worse, get scratched!
My Kittens
Today, we have a happier story to tell, as our two very spoiled sister kittens have come to trust and love us, they have also learned to sleep better. We go to sleep at ten and wake up at five in peace, most of the time. On occasions they wake us up with their wet adorable noses begging us to pet and play with them. At five they are up and ready to leave the room and get their food, run around like maniacs up and down the long hallways chasing one another. As for my one year old leather sofa, it is very much in ruin. Their small little claws have managed to scratch all the sides and the tops of the sofas, hard to miss the lines even in the dark.
Kittens are a lot of work and play, but so very much worth it. These two girls have made us do hard research, always staying away from ‘meat-by-product’ food, giving them the best of the best and spoiling them every minute we get. Our little Kiki and Koko are living the life; they control two big humans and run the house!

You should really get the little buggars' nails clipped. I bought my own nail clippers and have my husband hold my Jolie the whole time she is growling while I carefully trim those nasty things. She's actually grateful when I'm done--I think!
I see you are enjoying your kittens and nice that they have each others company when you are gone. The two cats that "adopted" us were already full grown and came into our lives separately. They are pals and keep us amused with their antics.
Loved your kitten hub, your babies are adorable. You can buy rubber claws for your cats nails, it is a better alternative to declawing. They are called Soft Claws. They cover the tips of your Kitty's claws. I used them because I just refused to have my cats declawed.
