Sexy Prom Dresses

Prom is short for promenade and is a formal black tie dance event for students. Prom is a special occasion where senior high school students gather to celebrate their achievement in finishing their last year of school. On this occasion students get dressed, ladies in dresses and gowns, and the gentleman wear a tuxedo or formal wear. Traditionally girls would wear a sexy prom dress and a corsage which would be given to them by their dates. The boys would wear a boutonniere presented to them by their dates and placed on their lapel.

Today, this tradition is still present but not as practiced as before.
Over the years, this event, prom, has spread all over the world increasing its popularity and importance. While each country has a different name for it, they all have similar practices with slight differences. In Costa Rica the prom for example is called "Baile de graduación" while in Russia and Belarus proms are called 'Vipusknoy vecher' meaning ‘evening of graduation’. In Slovakia it is called Stužková meaning the Ribbon Ball, where the students celebrate in November or December by having a banquet and where students are presented with a green ribbon with their names on it. Many students wear this ribbon for the rest of their school year.
While many countries only celebrate prom for high school graduates, in America we celebrate for 5^th and 8^th graders as well. For most 5^th and 8^th grade school graduations, there is not as an elegant or extravagant party but there is still food and music, and the students usually dress for the occasion.

For many girls, prom is an important event that they will remember for the rest of their lives, almost like their weddings. Prom is also a great occasion where parents or guardians can bond with their children.
